Terms of Use
These terms apply to cdth.ca and to signing up for Canada's Defence Tech Hackathon ("CDTH", "we", "us"). By using the site or signing up, you agree to them.
Signing up
- Joining the waitlist or submitting any form does not guarantee a place. Registration, team, volunteer, mentor, judge, sponsor and partner roles are confirmed separately.
- Give accurate information and use your own email address.
- The event is free to attend. Some spots may be limited.
Event rules
- Full participation rules, eligibility, challenges and judging criteria will be published before the event and apply in addition to these terms.
- We build tools that see, connect and protect. Projects must be lawful.
- All participants, in person and online, must follow our code of conduct: be respectful, inclusive and safe. We may remove anyone who doesn't.
- Follow venue rules and any safety instructions, especially when working with hardware, batteries, radios or drones.
Your projects
You and your team own what you build. By presenting, you allow us to show your project name, team names, description, photos and demo footage to promote the event. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to use, or anything classified or export-controlled.
Changes to the event
Dates, venue, format and programming may change. We'll tell people who signed up as early as we can. We may cancel or postpone the event if necessary.
Site content
The CDTH name, logo, design and content belong to us or our licensors. Don't copy or reuse them without permission.
Liability
The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using the site or taking part in the event. You are responsible for your own equipment and belongings.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
